The hornet’s nest is in Michigan (Detroit?).
The name 'Lawson' was mentioned. Worth looking up.
Some of them seem to despite the imPorts in particular because of the benefits given to us if we pledge our alliance, others because of our powers and how innocent people can be hurt if we don’t control them. Some are just scared. Most see us as weapons.
Their intention was to take blood samples.
And imPort managed to ‘cheat the system’ last time when the government tried to send them all home. (Not being sent back? Resurrection? Avoid relation with the government?)
Before they were called ‘Hornets’ they were called the ‘Vanir’ [Link included by Clark]
They are apparently pretty sure eventually the goverment will turn un on us. They have something big coming, and they are pretty sure that if we knew what they knew we might even be on their side.
